Writing Workshop with the Authors of Mrs. Z’s Class! Session 1

July 22, 3 pm4 pm.
Free

If your young reader has a passion for storytelling – or if they’re looking for something new and exciting to try this summer – this is the perfect opportunity to explore the world of writing. Join the authors of the Mrs. Z’s Class series in-store with free workshops for budding writers!

The first of the three sessions will be guided by KATE MESSNER, author of Emma McKenna, Full Out, GBEMI RHUDAY-PERKOVICH, author of Synclaire Fields Knows The Score, and LINDA URBAN, author of Olive Little Gets Crafty.

It will begin with an introduction to the authors and their work followed by a short conversation about elements of writing (i.e. character development, dialogue, pacing, etc.) before getting into hands-on, guided exercises.

These workshops are designed for young writers from six to nine years old with limited spots available for attendees and their grownups.

It’s highly recommend to read one or more books in the Mrs. Z’s Class series to prepare – they can be read in any order! On the day of the workshop, all you’ll need is a notebook and a pencil or pen (and a passion for writing!).
