WNYC’s Public Song Project invites anyone to create new music by drawing from the public domain. Working musicians and hobbyists alike contribute song covers and musical adaptations of books, poetry, films, and more, showcasing the creative potential of the public domain and offering an opportunity to engage with history through art.

For the second year in a row, the project is brought to the stage in a recital featuring submissions performed live! Come to Central Library’s Plaza to hear the contest winners and learn how you can get involved, too. WNYC’s Public Song Project winners will be joined onstage by the winners of the Anthem to US project, an initiative that invited New Yorkers to create a new national anthem.

Location:

10 Grand Army Plaza
Brooklyn
