The 12th Annual Communal Spaces Garden Play Festival
The Motor Company is back with a unique FREE! arts festival that makes theater accessible to everyone and connects communities through their public gardens. This year features two new plays created for and inspired by the garden, by esteemed playwrights Jack Towhey Calk (The Asolo Rep, InVersion Theatre, Hudson Theatre Works, The Tank) and Dena Igusti (Apollo Theater, Teen Vogue, The Public Theater, Brooklyn Museum):
The Time I had with you – Two friends connect, play, and battle trolls in this wordless musical clown play.
The Memory Brigade – In a garden outside of time, the Archivists search for lost memories, painting a portrait of Woodside and its people.
This season also features live musical performances by Felix Slim (Blues/Americana) and Kacia Flórez (Cantautora Andina) on Sundays at 2pm, and a community picnic to close the festival on September 29!
