Step Dance Workshop

Dance Project of Washington Heights is celebrating Black History Month! Join us for a special workshop with instructor and former dancer with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Aqura Lacey. Aqura will be leading an open level Steppin workshop on Wednesday, February 12th.

Stepping or step dancing is a percussive dance where the participant’s body is used to produce complex rhythms and sounds through a mixture of footsteps, spoken word, and more.

This class is open to all ages.
