Sewing Machines 101

March 11, 2 pm.

Have you ever wanted to learn how to use a sewing machine? Are you curious about how clothes, bags, and other things made of fabric are constructed? Join us in the Baychester Teen Center to learn the basics of how to use a sewing machine to complete a project. We will start by choosing fabric and materials, then we will mark and cut out the fabric, then we will construct our project using the sewing machine.

Please note that all participants must provide a completed liability release form before participating in this program. These can be picked up from the library at the front desk or from the YA Librarian. For participants who are under 18, this form must be completed by a legal guardian.

Discover what the Library offers NYC teens, including our newly expanded Teen Centers at select branches, TeenLIVE events, programs, book recommendations, and more.

This program will be conducted in person, in English, in the Teen Center of Baychester Library. This branch is fully wheelchair accessible.
