Violin duo Miolina presents “Scaling to Great Heights,” a half-hour children’s concert that showcases music of people from various nations, including the many immigrants who came through Ellis Island and later helped build our city and country (skyscrapers included!). Kids will enjoy beautiful sounds from all over the world as they explore the Museum and discover supertall skyscrapers in various countries. At the end of the concert, there will be a chance for audience members to see and try a violin! All ages welcome.

Miolina will present folk tunes from Ireland, Italy, and Kazakhstan, as well as compositions by composers with ties to NYC: Béla Bartok, Lynn Bechtold, Angélica Negrón, and Scott Joplin.

Advanced registration required. After registering, you will receive emails to confirm your attendance through a Google Form (you only need to fill this out once). If you do not confirm attendance by the Friday morning before the program, your places will be canceled. Every child should be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
