Salute to Veterans Family Fun Event

The Town of Hempstead proudly presents Salute to Veterans, a family-friendly celebration honoring the brave men and women who have served our country. Held at the scenic Town Park in Point Lookout, this free community event offers a full day of patriotic fun, entertainment, and heartfelt recognition.

Guests can enjoy:

• 🌭 The World Famous Sabrett Hot Dog Eating Contest
• 🏖 Sandcastle Building Tournament
• 🛍️ Craft vendors & local artisans
• 🍔 Delicious bites from food trucks
• 🍺 A festive beer garden
• 🏐 Volleyball Tournament
• 🎉 A lively Family Fun Zone
• 🎶 A live concert by The Commodores
• 🎆 Fireworks & Drone Show to cap off the night

Attendees are encouraged to bring canned or dried food donations to help support local veterans in need.
