Rhythmic Craft Station

August 6, 3:30 pm.

This program will be in person at Ottendorfer Library.

/*–>*/

At the Rhythmic Craft Station kids embark on a musical journey, starting with an educational introduction to rhythm, teaching them the basics of beats and tempo. They then channel their creativity into crafting their own shakers from eco-friendly materials like plastic bottles, filled with rice, beans, or beads for a distinctive sound. Each shaker becomes a canvas for personalization with markers, stickers, or paint, blending art with music. To conclude, the children gather in a rhythm circle, where they collaboratively create beats with their newly made shakers, applying what they’ve learned about rhythm in a fun, collective musical performance.

Presented by Willan Academy of Music.
