PaleyImpact – Still the Greatest: Muhammad Ali’s Triumphant Legacy
Incomparable athlete and engaging activist, Muhammad Ali lived his triumphant life on television. With a savvy understanding about the impact of media, Ali thrilled audiences with his unparalleled boxing skills, while challenging the nation on such pressing issues as race and war as a forceful humanitarian.
2024 marks one of the greatest anniversaries in Ali’s illustrious career: the 50th anniversary of the epic “Rumble in the Jungle,” a historic October 1974 victory over the unbeaten George Foreman in Zaire.
The Paley Center celebrates Ali’s amazing legacy with an all-star panel of those who knew Ali and boxers who have been inspired by his greatness. We will explore how Ali’s iconic image has been made relevant for a younger generation, especially with the recent release of Undisputed, the first video game featuring boxing in ten years, while also spotlighting the artistry of Ali. Our panelists will discuss why Ali endures as the “Greatest of All Time,” who still inspires the world eight years after his death.
Following the panel, demo the new video game Undisputed and face off head-to-head against Roy Jones, Jr.
