Open Art Studio for Teens: Zine Edition

July 16, 3 pm.

We’re turning our Open Art Studio into a zine-making workshop! Discover the history of zines—from 1930s sci-fi fan zines and punk-era DIY culture to feminist, queer, and political self-publishing.

What to Expect:

Hands-on instruction in layout, collage, stapling, photocopying & binding

All materials provided—paper, markers, stickers, glue, photocopies—and feel free to bring your own ephemera

A relaxed, creative environment to craft zines reflecting your ideas—be they personal, political, artistic, or experimental

Conversation about zines as a low-tech way to tell stories, spark movements, and connect with others

Who Can Join: Teens and community members of all ages—whether you’re a first-timer or a curious creator. No registration required; drop in and let your creativity flow!

Location:

985 Morris Park Avenue
Bronx, New York
