March Family Saturdays

Enjoy a day of fun activities for the whole family at The Newark Museum of Art.

12pm & 2pm | Planetarium Show: One World, One Sky: Big Bird’s Adventure- Explore the night sky from Sesame Street with Big Bird, Elmo, and their friend Hu Hu Zhu as they learn about the Big Dipper, the North Star, the Sun, and the Moon!
Appropriate for ages 4 and up.

12-12:45pm | Creative Play: Spring Has Sprung- Celebrate the beginning of Spring! Discover works of art highlighting nature and make your own paper flowers!
Appropriate for ages 3-5.

1pm & 3pm | Planetarium Show: The Sun Revealed- Journey through the historical and cultural views of eclipses, discover how they occur, how to safely view them, and first-hand accounts of these celestial events!
Appropriate for ages 12+.

1-4pm | Science Drop-In: Roller Coasters- Have you ever wanted to design your own roller coaster? Design and build your own paper roller coaster creation and learn about roller coaster physics along the way.
Appropriate for ages 5-12 and families.

1-4pm | Family Drop-In: Artmaking- Try your hand at making art with materials such as wood and found objects.
