Lunar New Year Extravaganza

Ring in the Year of the Snake with live performances, food and beverages, cultural activities, and the chance to play mahjong. A limited number of free mahjong tables are available. Reserved mahjong tables are available for purchase.

11:30 AM – 12:00 PM, Ribbon dancing from the New York Chinese Cultural Center: Come to the main concourse in front of Pearl River Mart to watch a beautiful performance followed by a short ribbon dancing lesson for kids.

12:00 PM – 12:30 PM, Lion Dancing from the Wan Chi Ming Hung Gar Institute Dragon & Lion Dance Team: Showstopping performances will be held on the main concourse in front of Pearl River Mart AND the lower level in front of Pearl River Mart Foods. Prime viewing is available at BOTH locations!

1:00 PM – 5:00 PM, Food, Drinks, and Fun Activities: Join the fun on the lower level! Food and drink will be available for purchase from Pearl River Mart Foods vendors Mao’s Bao, Kimbap Lab, Tea & Milk, and Maxi’s Noodle, and event partner Dickson’s. Activities include mahjong lessons, coloring with Michele Wong McSween (author of the Mandarin language Gordon & Li Li books), Chinese calligraphy, and more!
