Little Movers

June 3, 11 am.

This event will take place in person at Woodstock Library.

Join us to hear stories, sing songs, and get those wiggles out as you help your active child build important early learning skills. Discover ways to promote early literacy at home and meet other caregivers in the neighborhood. Best for new walkers, toddlers/or children at this developmental stage.

June 3:  Rainbow Popsicles Craft

Unleash a burst of color with a rainbow popsicles craft! Using vibrant tissue paper, children can create their own delicious-looking popsicles with sticks, adding a whimsical touch to any summer day. This craft not only sparks creativity but also serves as a fun decoration or pretend-play prop.

June 10:  Under the Sea

Dive into creativity with an under the sea octopus craft! Using colorful paper, glue, and a touch of imagination, children can craft their own vibrant octopus, an hands-on activity not only fosters artistic skills but also ignites curiosity about marine life.

June 17:  Songs, dancing, and a craft.

Turn up the music and let the little ones groove with a toddler dance party! With catchy tunes, simple moves, and plenty of room to wiggle, toddlers can bop and boogie to their heart’s content, promoting coordination and motor skills while having a blast.

June 24:  Sensory Bin

Calling all 18 months to 5-year-olds! Do you enjoy jumping, dancing, playing, and singing? If so, toddler time is for you! Twice a month we will meet up to sing silly songs, dance, explore rhythm instruments, and read a story. Toddler time is a great way to socialize with other toddlers, and get ready for Kindergarten. Toddler time will always finish with a process of art craft. “Process art” is more focused on the act of painting, mixing, rolling, and exploring color than a set goal. This is a great way to encourage sensory exploration and fun.

Sign up for the biweekly NYPL Kids e-newsletter to get information on free children’s programs, upcoming author talks, and more happening at the Library and online.
