Leveling the Playing Field: Women in Baseball pays tribute to Jackie Robinson’s barrier-breaking legacy by highlighting how women of color are stepping up to the plate across the sport of baseball today. An all-star line-up of panelists including AJ Andrews (MLB Network), Mo’ne Davis (former Little League World Series pitcher), Misha Hurd (Major League Baseball), Wendy Lewis (former Senior VP at Major League Baseball), and Amber Sabathia (Sports agent and Executive Director, PitCCh In Foundation) will discuss their journeys as players, businesswomen, and sports journalists in “America’s pastime” today with moderator Shakeia Taylor (Chicago Tribune).
This program has two sessions: a TEEN TALK at 3:30PM for middle and high school students and a public PANEL DISCUSSION at 6:30PM.
- The TEEN TALK will be great for girls and young women who play baseball and softball as well as non-athletes interested in careers in sports. Individual tickets and group rates for schools and teams available!
- The evening PANEL DISCUSSION is open to all.
