Kids Week at the Intrepid Museum
During Kids Week, children of all ages and interests will learn about STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts & math) through fun-filled activities, NASA displays & exhibits, live animal shows, hands-on workshops, performances, special guests and interactive demonstrations designed to educate and inspire.
February 17-19: Space
NASA scientists and engineers will be on-site with exhibits and demonstrations, including hands-on activities for kids of all ages. Meet children’s authors, create mission medallions and join That Planetarium Guy on a journey through the science and stories found in the night sky.
February 20-21: Arts, Culture & Music
Zack and Zoey Adventures share the wonders of space & STEM engagement with everyone through books, magazines and social media. Create a starscape where you can make your own constellation story among the stars. And don’t miss performances by the Gazillion Bubble Show!
February 22-24: Safari/Nature & Science/Engineering
Learn about various engaging education programs at the Bronx Zoo, Central Park Zoo, Prospect Park Zoo, Queens Zoo and New York Aquarium, and explore a wildly fun hands-on activity! Use your art skills to camouflage a plane so it can fly without being seen. Be sure to keep an eye out for live animal presentations as well.
