Jim Henson Birthday Celebration 2025

Join Museum of the Moving Image and special guests to commemorate Muppets creator Jim Henson (he was born September 24, 1936) with a weekend of activities for all ages. Activities include screenings with special guests; a workshop led by puppeteer-in-residence Brian Carson; a swap meet for Henson enthusiasts; and music in the courtyard including a birthday sing-along. Plus, the Museum and the Jim Henson Legacy will offer a special walking tour led by Heather Henson from Manhattan to MoMI hitting key spots relating to the history and legacy of Jim Henson (limited space; museum admission and lunch included!). Recommended for ages 6+

Workshop, music in the courtyard, and access to the swap meet are free. Screenings, walking tour, and exhibitions require a paid ticket.
