Interactive Hip-Hop Dance Party with Street Dance Ambassadors at Baychester – Dance Party NYC

What better way to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Hip-Hop than a dance party? As part of Dance Party NYC, New York City Center and The Baychester Library are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the birth of hip-hop in the Bronx. Hosted by graduates of NYCCs inaugural Street Dance Ambassadors Program, this program will feature a short dance class, performance, and a dance party. Participants will learn some foundational hip-hop steps before putting them to use in an all-out dance party! The ambassadors will also showcase their skills in a mini-performance.

Schedule:

• Basics of Hip-Hop Class (15-20 minutes)
• Mini-Performance by Street Dance Ambassadors (10 minutes)
• Dance Party (30 minutes)

Registration is recommended but walk-ups will be welcome as space allows. This program is open to all ages.
