Honoring Indigenous Peoples’ Day

Celebrate Indigenous Peoples’ Day at Brooklyn Children’s Museum! Come out for a day of traditional dance, interactive storytelling, and cooking, pottery, and basketry workshops, in partnership with the North American Indigenous Center of New York.
Featuring performances by the Northeastern Haudenosaunee Dance Troupe, hoop dance with Feryn King, and interactive storytelling with multidisciplinary artist Ty Defoe. Plus hands-on food demonstrations with Mohawk chef Dave Smoke-McCluskey, Native American craft demonstrations including beadwork and basketry, terra cotta pottery workshops in our ColorLab art studio, and a Native artisans vendor marketplace.
