Miolina with Kids 3

Returning to the Museum for another Family Program, the violin duo Miolina have designed a program to fit our new exhibition theme: “Concrete Works for the Concrete Jungle.” This special children’s concert features classic works that have stood the test of time, like the Roman Pantheon, which thanks to concrete, still stands strong today as it did 2,000 years ago! Join us to celebrate this sturdy and expressive building material!

Lynn Bechtold and Mioi Takeda will perform works by Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, & Pachelbel, as well as contemporary works by Joe Hisaishi & Lynn Bechtold, and the timeless spiritual Amazing Grace. Join us for a fun concert and music history lesson that’s great for all ages! At the end of the concert, there will be a chance for audience members to see and try a violin.

This concert is funded with support from NYSCA.
