Family Art Making: Imagined Vessels at MoMA
What does it mean to hold and be held? In this drop-in art-making session with artist Zainab Aliyu, engage in a creative exploration of “holding” as a form of memory, care, and imagination.
Inspired by Norman Teague’s Jam Sessions exhibition at MoMA and Zainab Aliyu’s artwork From Red Dust to Black Clay, participants will imagine and design symbolic vessels. Drop in to reflect on personal and collective stories with guided prompts, explore the role of AI in artistic processes by prompting an AI engine, and record your ideas by assembling a zine.
