Dance Storytime
Lincoln Center celebrates summer in New York City as their free Storytime series returns to The Garden at Damrosch Park. Curated by The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, this storytime event presents a children’s book reading with live dance incorporated to keep kids of all ages enraptured and engaged! This performance features a reading of Glenda Armand’s book Opal Lee and What It Means to Be Free: The True Story of the Grandmother of Juneteenth and a dance piece with live music that asks audience members to contemplate the significance of Juneteenth and what it means to be “free.”
The event at 1:00 pm will include American Sign Language interpretation.
