Cradle of Aviation Museum – Girl Scouts Rocket Day
Join us for Girl Scout Rocket Day, where Scouts will learn about the mechanics of rocket design and launch their rockets. The day is divided into sessions tailored to different age groups. Cradle of Aviation Rocket Patch included!
Note – This is a drop-off event only. Parents are kindly requested to leave after dropping off their scouts
The schedule for the day is as follows:
10 AM – 12 PM: Brownies Session – Water Rockets
Noon – All Ages – Space Lab in the theater
1 PM – 3 PM: Juniors and Cadettes – Estes Rockets
Defying Gravity for Brownies
10 am – 12 pm
In the morning session, Brownies will learn the basics of rocket building. They’ll observe the launch of solid fuel rockets and then create their water bottle rockets, reaching up to 100 feet in the air. Please wear your uniform vest/sash and closed-toe shoes.
Defying Gravity for Juniors & Cadettes
1 pm – 3 pm
Juniors and Cadettes will construct solid-fuel rockets in the afternoon using Estes Model rockets. When launched, these rockets can reach up to 300 feet. Please wear your uniform vest/sash and closed-toe shoes.
A patch is included with participation.
