Join the Museum at Eldridge Street in their stunning Main Sanctuary to celebrate the storied tradition of Jewish musical comedy with friends and family of all ages! Purim is a Jewish holiday celebrating cultural survival and continuity with the utmost joy and laughter. Dress up together in ridiculous costumes, make noise, tell jokes, and give back to the community.

Some may remember classic Jewish comedy numbers of the 20th century, such as Monroe Silver’s Cohen on the Telephone, the Barton Brothers’s Joe and Paul a Fargenigen, Mickey Katz’s Duvid Crockett (King of Delancey Street), Allan Sherman’s Seventy Six Sol Cohens, or Jazz musician Slim Gaillard’s Mishugana Mambo.

Take a trip back in time and sing, dance, and laugh along with Paul Shapiro’s Purim Sphil!
