Celebrate the superhero in you and in our community!

Workshops and PlayWorks Takeover: Fire Safety with the FDNY*
Saturday, 2:00 pm – 4:15 pm | Sign-up | Ages 5 & up
Join CMOM and the FDNY for an afternoon of programs in honor of National Fire Safety Week! Families will learn invaluable lessons in fire safety from members of the FDNY through interactive workshops*, learn about firetrucks throughout New York City and play in CMOM’s firetruck, meet the FDNY’s two mascots, Hot Dog and Siren, and join us for a special fire prevention focused storytime.

Workshop: Helper Capes*
Sunday, 2:00 pm – 4:15 pm | Sign-up | Ages 5 & up
Join CMOM Educators to create your own fabric capes, celebrating all the ways you can be a helpful person to your friends, family, and community! Make your own superhero logo and add it to your cape.

Comic Book Creations
Saturday & Sunday; Tuesday – Friday, 10:30 am – 12:30 pm & 2:00 pm – 4:15 pm | Ages 5 & up
What’s your superpower? Create an original comic book sketch and show off your super abilities wherever you’re headed!

Community Helper Center
Saturday & Sunday, 11: 15 am – 12:15 pm & 2:45 pm – 3:45 pm; Tuesday – Friday,  2:45 pm – 3:45 pm  | Ages 4 & younger

Put on the uniforms of different community helpers. Explore their tools and see how community helpers use them to help you.
