Brooklyn’s 118th Annual American Independence Day Parade

This patriotic parade commemorates the birth of America and also salutes the 250th anniversaries of the US Army, US Navy and US Marine Corps. The parade route is along 5th Avenue from 60th Street to 44th Street in the Sunset Park section of Brooklyn.  2025 Grand Marshals are American Revolutionary reenactors, historians and civic activists, Michael Grillo uniformed as General George Washington and Norman Goben as  a Continental Army soldier. This parade has the distinction of being New York City’s oldest,  continuous Independence Day Parade.
