Bird Feeder-Watch Fridays
Spend a leisurely afternoon watching and counting birds from Greenwich Audubon’s bird feeder window! The winter months are the perfect time to become acquainted with our resident songbirds. Join Audubon Naturalist Ryan MacLean who will point out the species of birds coming to the Learning Center’s bird feeder station and provide tips on both identifying and feeding them. They’ll also share how to participate in Cornell’s Project FeederWatch—a winter-long community science survey of the birds that visit feeders in your backyards, parks, offices, and other areas. You and your family can participate by counting the birds you see in your backyard and submitting them to the Project FeederWatch website. We will provide identification guides to backyard birds and information on how you can take part in Project FeederWatch and even submit a checklist of our own at the end of the program!
All ages are welcome including children after school and senior citizens. The building is ADA accessible so wheelchairs and mobility devices can be used.
Tickets MUST be reserved in advance through this online ticket sales page. Please register for the quantity of ALL members in your party. Upon arrival please check in at the front desk and proceed to the Learning Center Bird Feeder Window. For questions, please contact Ryan MacLean at Ryan.MacLean@audubon.org or 203-930-1353.
Please note, by signing up for this event you are consenting to receive emails from Audubon about this program and our conservation work. You may opt-out of our emails at any time.
