Band of Parents KIDS WALK for Kids with Cancer

Band of Parents is bringing back a beloved New York tradition—the BOP Kids Walk for Kids with Cancer—on Saturday, April 5, 2025, in Central Park. Originally founded in 2001 by Sophie Staples-Vangel in honor of her brother, neuroblastoma warrior Simon Vangel, this powerful event was once the largest pediatric cancer walk in NYC—until the pandemic put it on pause. Now, Simon’s family and Band of Parents are relaunching the walk to raise awareness, fund critical research, and bring hope to children fighting neuroblastoma.
