Want to learn more about what we can see in the night sky? What can we see in an urban environment with light pollution? Plenty! Join the Brower Park Library for an evening of stargazing on the sidewalk outside the branch.  Learn how to find objects and identify them in the night sky.

Moon Phase:  Waxing crescent 16.55%.  A Waxing Crescent is the first Phase after the New Moon during this time the features of the moon surface can be beautifully seen. The moon is close to the sun in the sky and therefor is mostly dark. The right edge of the moon however is bright and keeps getting brighter as the days get close to the next phase which is a First Quarter with a 50% illumination of the lunar body.
