Art Workshop Wednesday For Kids

Kids ages 4-12 are invited to 53rd St Library to do art from 3:30-4:30 PM each Wednesday. We’ll work with different materials to create new art each week!

No registration is needed for this workshop. Please just show up to our children’s floor on the Lower Level by 3:40 PM and join in. Enough materials will be provided for at least 10 children each week. We will provide books to tie in with our craft themes. Younger children may participate in modified versions of the craft if it is possible.

Our workshops for June 2025:

June 4- Fruit Stamps

Use apples and lemons to stamp shapes on the page with paint! Make a composite picture of different fruit shapes or use color to express your patterns!

June 11- Fabric Marker Fun

Decorate a bag or pencil case with our fabric markers! 

June 17- Summer Reading Visors

Decorate a foam visor to protect your eyes from the sun! Use stickers and markers to express yourself and show your style.

June 25- Mini Canvas Portraits

Can you paint a miniature portrait of yourself? Of someone you love? Join us to use tempera paint and mini canvasses to create tiny paintings!
