Art as Prayer or Mindfulness
Please join us for an afternoon of creativity November 1st from 2-5pm!
This all-ages event will feature opportunities to explore junk journaling, sculpting, drawing, and coloring. No previous experience is required. Let’s focus on how creating art feels!
We will provide all art materials in these disciplines. If you work in a different type of art (painting, knitting, cross-stitch, etc) and would like to be in creative space with us please feel free to bring your materials with you.
The event will include a small discussion of how creating can be used to still the mind, some suggested art prompts (the art you create does not need to be religious in nature), and open-studio time to really dig in and create!
We encourage you to pre-register so we’re sure we have enough art supplies and pizza available 🙂
If you are bringing children under 18 please ensure that you or another adult will remain with them at the event. Parking passes will be provided for street parking.
Proceeds from this event will help support future arts programing and the restoration of our stained glass windows.
