Description: Explore our Outdoor Classroom on the farm using all your five senses! Our Farm Educators will facilitate your child’s learning by helping children plant seeds, nurture seedlings, observe and touch different parts of the plant and harvest a variety of vegetables. Children will directly experience nature by smelling herbs and flowers, digging in the soil, looking for worms, finding insects, creating natural art projects, and feeding chickens. We utilize handcrafted, intentional materials to support early literacy and numeracy skills. We provide an inviting environment developmentally appropriate for young children and nurture numerous social and emotional learning opportunities. We connect kids to their food and the farmers who grow it, encouraging healthy eating.
Caregiver Policy: Children must be accompanied by a caregiver. Up to two caregivers per child, $5 per additional caregiver paid at the door.
Location: Outdoor Classroom. Please come to our registration table to check in before class. Check-in starts 10 mins before class.
Late Policy: Your child can join the remainder of the class if you arrive late. Please notify us if you will be more than 15 minutes late. If you are unable to attend, we ask that you cancel to allow other children to join.
Refund Policy: Classes are non-refundable unless we, Amber Waves, cancel the class due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. If you decide to cancel, your class fee will be donated to support our mission driven work providing educational classes to children this summer at Amber Waves.
