A Walk on Water (AWOW) Surf Therapy Day in Rockaway Beach

Join us Saturday, September 27th from 8AM to 2PM for A Walk On Water (AWOW) Surf Therapy Day in Rockaway Beach! This uplifting event invites children with unique needs and their families to experience the healing power of the ocean through guided surf instruction from highly trained surf instructors, supported by a dedicated team of volunteers.

In addition to surf therapy, the day will feature yoga, massage, art and music therapy, food, and a variety of beach activities – creating a positive, empowering environment where participants can connect, grow, and celebrate together.

Since 2012, AWOW has served thousands of children and families nationwide, building a community rooted in confidence, resilience, and joy. By including the entire family in every experience, AWOW is redefining what therapy can be and ensuring every participant leaves the water with one belief; we are all athletes.
