45th Annual Holiday Festival

Join the Ward Melville Heritage Organization (WMHO) for a magical day as its 45th Annual Holiday Festival returns to Stony Brook Village. Free and open to all, this community celebration will bring music, performances, and heartwarming holiday cheer to the village. Visitors can explore the Holiday Tree Festival and vote for their favorite decorated trees (voting runs from December 4 to December 20), explore the holiday train display at Wiggs Opticians, and compete for gift certificates and prizes in the WMHO Youth Corps Santa Fund Scavenger Hunt with proceeds supporting local families in need.

1:30 PM:

St. James Junior Choir performs at the Stony Brook Post Office, setting a festive tone for the day.

Steppin’ Out Ponies Petting Zoo opens in Inner Court (1:30 PM – 3:30 PM).

2:00 PM:

Santa arrives on an antique firetruck to greet children and will be available for photos until 4:45 PM.

WALK 97.5 plays holiday music in Inner Court (2:00 PM – 4:00 PM).

2:15 PM:

Legends & Spies Puppet Procession begins, led by the Ward Melville High School Marching Band, parading through Stony Brook Village.

3:00 PM:

Holiday performance by Roseland Dance Studio.

3:00 PM – 4:00 PM:

Celestial Singers Holiday Carolers perform throughout the village. After 4:00 PM, they will perform at the Holiday tree until 5:00 PM.

5:00 PM:

Bethel AME Choir performs, leading into the grand tree lighting ceremony.

5:30 PM:

Grand Tree Lighting Ceremony where Santa returns on a festive float, joined by local children, to light the holiday tree on the Village Green.

Starting November 29:

Children can send holiday wishes directly to the North Pole by mailing letters in the red “Mail for Santa” mailbox at the Stony Brook Post Office.
