25th Annual Swim Across America – Nassau/Suffolk Long Island Open Water Swim

Hundreds of swimmers, volunteers, and supporters will join together on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Pryibil Beach for the 25th annual Swim Across America – Nassau/Suffolk Long Island Sound open water swim, raising critical funds for cancer research and patient programs. Individual swimmers and teams can sign up to swim various distances — including a .5 mile, 1 mile, 2 mile, 5K, 10K, or the Family Fun Swim — or participate virtually with SAA My Way. The 10K swim is on Friday, August 1, at Cold Spring Harbor Beach, and the other swim distances are Saturday, August 2, at Pryibil Beach. Land and water volunteers are also needed. The funds raised by the swim stay local with the swim supporting its beneficiaries Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Weill Cornell Medicine, Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, the Feinstein Institute at Northwell Health, MD Anderson Children’s Cancer Hospital, and SHARE Cancer Support. Since its inception, the Swim Across America – Nassau/Suffolk Long Island swim has raised more than $14 million to support innovative cancer research and treatment.
