14th New York Son Jarocho Festival

Flushing Town Hall is proud to co- present the 14th Annual New York Son Jarocho Festival with the Son Jarocho NY Collective. Join us in celebrating the vibrant music and dance traditions from the Veracruz region of Mexico. This year’s festival will feature performances by local East Coast Son Jarocho artists, showcasing their own interpretations of this lively and poetic musical genre.

Headlining the festival will be Los Vega, an internationally renowned group of traditional musicians who have dedicated over 30 years to the performance and promotion of Son Jarocho. With their deep cultural roots, family heritage, and extensive stage experience, Los Vega offer an exceptional and authentic musical experience. Their performances beautifully blend tradition with artistry, having graced stages at major cultural and artistic festivals across Mexico and internationally in China, the United States, and Canada.

Los Vega has recorded five studio albums, with their most recent works, “En tonos muy diferentes” and “Vientos del mar” available on all digital platforms under the label Audioflot.

Drinks and food will be available for purchase throughout the afternoon.
